THE Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) has raised the alarm over the killing of Muslims in the South East by some non-Muslims. The council under the leadership of the President-General and Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, also called on security agencies to do more to protect the lives and property of Muslims and bring the perpetrators of such killings to justice. GOVERNOR Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has pardoned 11 convicts in an exercise of the prerogative of mercy powers conferred on him by Section 212 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended. THE Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau on Thursday said it had released a total of 272 safety recommendations and 82 accident reports of air crashes and various incidents recorded in the Nigerian airspace since inception. The Director-General, NSIB, Akin Olateru, disclosed while briefing newsmen in Abuja. LESS than 24 hours after the kidnap of 45 residents in Aku Community, bandits have again abducted 16 people in another attack on Angwan Pa community in the same Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
